Coding and/or Programming of new modules

Different Modules that can be programmed or coded

Typically, programming involves installing software into a module after that module has been replaced.
Reprograming is when a module’s current operating software is changed in order to operate differently.
These procedures will most often require you to access the secure gateway, which can only be achieved through OEM software.

Radar Modules

New Front Radar Module fitted?

A new front radar module, a critical component of a vehicle's advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), requires programming for optimal functionality. Programming ensures accurate calibration of the radar's sensors, enabling precise detection of objects within its range.

Airbag Modules

New Airbag Modules Fitted?

Programming is essential for a new airbag module to function correctly. The module needs to be configured with the vehicle's specific information, such as the number and type of airbags, the vehicle's weight, and the occupant's seating positions. This ensures that the module can accurately assess crash severity and deploy the airbags at the appropriate time and with the correct force.
Failure to program the module could result in the airbags not deploying properly in an accident, potentially leading to serious injury or death.

Electric Steering Racks

New Electric Steering Rack Fitted?

Electric steering racks are complex components that require programming to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with the vehicle's systems.
This programming process establishes crucial parameters such as steering feel, effort, and response to the driver's inputs. Without proper programming, the new steering rack may exhibit erratic behavior, inconsistent steering assist, or even fail to function correctly, potentially compromising vehicle safety and control.

Adaptive Headlights

New Adaptive Headlights Fitted?

Adaptive headlights, designed to automatically adjust their beam pattern based on driving conditions, rely heavily on precise programming. Without proper programming, adaptive headlights may not function correctly, potentially compromising safety and visibility for the driver and other road users.

Windscreen Camera Modules

New Front Camera Module Fitted?

Programming is essential for a front windscreen camera module to function properly. It calibrates the camera's image with the vehicle's position and surroundings, ensuring accurate data for safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning. Without programming, the camera's perception of the road and obstacles would be unreliable, potentially compromising the driver's safety and the effectiveness of the vehicle's advanced systems.
